Puppet Show

My 7 year old and I put these silly little critters together. We loved the glue dots! In his words “I liked making them, they’re fun. I want to sell them and get some money for them. They were furry, they were kind of hard at first because the head kept falling off but then we used glue dots

and the head stayed on and it was easier and lots of fun. I think the treasure box is cool. I want my dad to drill holes in the top so I can put a snake in it or maybe some bugs and lizards and frogs and stuff”
In mine; It was simple, easy and fun. We giggled and played with each other and clean up was a snap. Really – cleanup was nothing!

Just for Him

My nine year old: “The car was easy to make and it was fun. My favorite thing was putting the wheels on. I want to do another one.”

Build with me

My 11 year old and I did this specifically so that we could do a review. It was really fun! We did the bird feeder. We found that gluing the pieces first, allowing it to dry a bit, and then nailing them in place was a lot simpler than nailing first. All of the pieces were cut and ready, all of the things we needed to complete the project were right there in the box (with the exception of a hammer) the instructions were clear and easy to follow. As far as simplicity I give it 5 stars, fun 5 stars, clean up 5 stars…and once it’s painted I think it will be a neat addition to our flower garden. Honestly, this was a great gift and nothing can replace the time that we spent together making it.
